Vegetarian

Most Oberlin students claim to be this for at least some portion of their time here.

The weakest form is to say "i'm a vegetarian. I don't eat things that used to be living animals." Although an even weaker claim is sometimes made by Jewish students: since Fish aren't considered 'meat' for the purpose of Kosher laws some people who keep kosher consider fish to be part of a vegetarian diet.

Some students find themselves going even farther, and limiting or eliminating their use of other animal derived foods and products such as dairy, leather, wool and honey. Those who go all the way generally prefer to be called vegans.

The co-ops typically serve vegetarian and vegan food exclusively, and the dishes tend to be tastier than their CDS counterparts.
