[edit] recent RSS weirdness

Can you do me a favor and keep a log of exactly what you're seeing? If you can give me a list of every instance of the titles that show up in your RSS reader with the date/time it says the edit was made, along with how it differs from the Special:Recentchanges from right then, it'll be easier to figure out what the hell is going on. Right now the RSS feed is accurate compared to Special:Recentchages, if you can weigh in on that and the problem persists, then I'll know something else is wrong... —alxndr (talk) 01:05, 16 July 2007 (EDT)

I don't think I can keep an exact log, because that would take just forever considering how much it's adding, but here's a screenshot: [1]. It adds a entry page with the old update time every time a new update comes in, or so it seems. —Tevi 22:19, 16 July 2007 (EDT)
Fixed? It would appear that the debugging output of the BadBehavior extension wasn't consistent, and so was making RSS readers...well, behave badly. I disabled the extension; hopefully reCAPTCHA will take care of the edits it was preventing. —alxndr (talk) 16:51, 22 July 2007 (EDT)
FIXED! You're awesome. (And, weird that BB should've had an effect at all...) —Tevi 18:15, 22 July 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, the BB extension hides comments in the HTML output, and I guess it's not consistent or something. Any time an edit was made, the RSS feed would get differently-HTMLed versions of the same edits, so readers thought they were unique items, even though the feed was still accurate to Special:Recentchanges. Hopefully we won't need BB so I won't have to dig through it and figure out why it misbehaves... —alxndr (talk) 19:19, 22 July 2007 (EDT)
