The Civil War drinking game

Purportedly the most brutal of drinking games.

[edit] You Will Need

  • a bunch of people
  • as much beer as possible (more than you think you'll need)
  • a copy of Ken Burns' 1990 documentary The Civil War

[edit] How to Play

  1. Everyone is divided into two teams, the Union and the Confederacy, based on what state you're from.
  2. Start the movie.
  3. Every time one side incurs casualties or loses a city, the corresponding drinking team drinks. The severity of drinking should match the severity of the loss.

As far as anyone knows, this drinking game goes back at least to 2004.
