Sketch comedy

Sketch comedy is the performance of pre-written comedic material by a group of actors. Some might call the individual pieces skits, but skits usually implies shorter, less developed material that is often not a part of a cohesive show. Famous sketch commedy performance troupes include: Saturday Night Live, The Kids in the Hall, Monty Python's Flying Circus, and The Second City.

The only currently active sketch troup in Oberlin is Piscapo's Arm, though Oberlin has been home to many sketch comedy troups including Tear Drop Tattoo, Writer's Bloc, and Middle Children.
