Shulamit Magnus

Shulamit Magnus is a professor of History and Jewish Studies.
Shulamit has very high standards for student writing and strongly recommends that students make use of the writing center. She has a particularly strong aversion to the use of the word "impact" in student writing. The following statement appears on all of her syllabi:
- "Impact" is a noun, not a verb; unless you mean "collision," say "affect," or "influence."

It is very hard to get an A in her classes, but she is a great professor and anyone who takes her class will learn a lot. --Pittnat 15:50, 2 September 2007 (EDT)
