Royal Naval Banquet

Started by Aaron Walker and members of his Royal Navy ExCo, the annual Royal Naval Banquet, held in the spring, is an event modeling an early-1800s British Navy dinner. Guests are encouraged to put on period dress and are served a meticulously-prepared multi-course meal over the span of several hours, with dishes including lamb, vegetable stew, a variety of sauces, port and dessert, with vegetarian and vegan options. Traditional seafaring songs are heard (and sometimes improvised) throughout the meal, and afterward, there's an opportunity for dancing.

With Walker graduating in '08, some have debated who will be in charge on the next Royal Naval Banquet if the tradition continues. Some have proposed replacing it with new banquet themed on Rome or the Vikings.
