Many courses require research projects or papers, especially towards the end of the semester.

Few research projects are successful without reading, studying, evaluating, synthesizing and/or referencing earlier works - whether printed materials, visual art, oral presentations, data compendia, musical works or digital media. In addition to your professor or instructor, obviously, a reference librarian is one of the best partners you can rely on while conducting research. There are reference librarians in every campus library and special collections.
