Professor Beers

Professor Beers is a weekly student union-sponsored event during which professors (including Exco professors) can purchase 50 cent pitchers of Pabst Blue Ribbon, usually with the intent of sharing them with students. Music is a loose-knit jazz group usually consisting of etirely jazz majors. Professor Beers occurs in the Sco from 4-6pm on Thursdays during the normal semester, though they may occasionally skip a week if there is a Thursday night show.

The PBR at Professor Beers was free for many years, but before fall semester '06 the management at the Sco realized that this practice was illegal, and were forced to charge a minimal amount for the beer.
