Pabst Blue Ribbon
PBR is a staple beer at Oberlin. From kegs at parties to tallboys when you're bored. It is generally the cheapest drinkable beer one can find in Oberlin, and is often associated with the hipster "working class irony" aesthetic.
PBR is available from the Feve ($7 for a 12-pack), Gibson's (~$12 for a 24-pack), and Johnny's (~$14 for a 30-pack).
Alums from years ago fondly remember many a stumbly night thanks to the cheap swill made by Miller. And once, PBR sponsored the girls rugby team. How's that for awesome.
The Bucketkickers! wrote a tribute song about PBR in 2004.
PBR's main competitor in Oberlin is Black Label.
