Cannabis

(Redirected from Marijuana)

Cannabis is the most used illegal drug on the Oberlin College campus. Oberlin recently placed #4 on Princeton's "Reefer Madness" list for 2005, jumping up 7 spots from #11 in 2004. So many people smoke weed on campus, it feels practically legal. Don't forget that it (still) isn't.

Cannabis is also called weed, chronic, pot, bud, buddha, grass, haze, kush, ganja, reefer, chiba, muggles, jazz plants, Jazz, dank, mary jane, greens (also the first hit of a freshly packed bowl), nuggets, nugs and trees.

BUYING WEED:

Cannabis is most often sold by weight. The most common delineations are the gram, half-eighth (1.8g), eighth of an ounce(3.5g), and quarter(7.0g). It can be found in bulk by the ounce (aka O, aka zip), quarter-pound (Q.P.), half pound, or pound.

You can also buy weed by dollar amounts. Tenspots are ten dollars worth of weed, and dubs are twenty.

GRADES OF WEED:

Low quality pot, known as shit weed or schwagg, is almost always seedy, stemmy, and bricklike, and often brownish. This is the harshest smoke. Most of this is grown in the southern States or Mexico and is badly grown and improperly dried. The worst schwagg consists of only cannabis leaves. (Good marijuana is the flowering buds and small leaves). Schwagg sells from between $20-25/eighth, $80-150/oz.

The next level of quality is called Mids, mid-grade, tendies, or regs. This pot is slightly greener and less condensed, though it still contains seeds. People often use modifiers such as "high-" and "low-" to more accurately describe the quality of mids more specifically. Mids sell from between $25-35/eighth, $150-300/oz.

The next quality level of pot is beasters or KB (killer bud). This is the lowest level of dank -- high-quality, seedless pot. Beasters are often groomed by the grower. Grooming is the process by which the protruding trichome hairs (the part of the plant highest in THC) are clipped from the buds. Beasters sell from between $40-50/eighth, $250-300/oz.

Headies, superdank, or stinkbud is the best quality of pot available, and will often be a well-known strain such as Diesel, Haze, Juicy Fruit, Snowcap, Granddaddy, AK-47 or the ever famous Purple Haze. Headies goes for $20-25/gram, $50-65/eighth, and is usually not available in larger quantities in Oberlin unless you know the right people.

HASH:

Hash is the product of extraction of the THC carrying oils from the plant material. It forms a sticky substance ranging from amber to black in color. Hash is essentially never found for sale on Oberlin campus. However, dedicated potheads are known to use dormroom chemistry to produce small amounts for personal use and sharing with good friends.

Yep, lots of Oberlin students smoke pot. Some students even get caught. The smart ones don't.

Republican Ron Paul and Democrat Dennis Kucinich are the two presidential candidates that in 2008 say they will free drug prisoners and change the war on drugs to be less harmful, specificly by decriminalizing Cannabis.
