Danenberg Oberlin-In-London Program
As of fall 2006, the Oberlin-in-London Program has been reinstated. In the fall semester it operates in conjunction with Grinnell-in-London. The spring semester continues to be just for Oberlin students.
[edit] History
In the fall of 2004 the College announced that the Oberlin-in-London program was to be put on hold after the spring semester, 2005. This was an enormously unpopular decision, and students and faculty felt that it had been made abruptly and unilaterally by Nancy Dye's administration without proper consultation and committee discussions.
Marc Blecher chaired the program at the time and was quoted as "working feverishly to get it back together."
[edit] Opinions
"The Danenberg Oberlin-in-London Program is awesome. Oberlin students get to live in London and have a chill time with G-Love (Gwyneth Love), the program director. Live in a flat, have a pint at the pub with some bangers and mash, take the Tube to Camden Town... I don't have time to explain the sheer awesomeness." --132.162.144.200
