Jack Madden

Jack Madden is a senior bass trombone performance major. Madden studies with James DeSano; past teachers include Thomas Klaber and Edward Zadrozny. In addition to the bass trombone, Jack studies the euphnium, bass sackbut, and harpsichord (with Webb Wiggins). Music festival participation includes Oberlin in Italy, and the Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute.

Jack hails from Akron, Ohio, where he attended Firestone High School. When he isn't practicing, he enjoys road bicycling and racing, and riding his fixed gear bicycle. Jack also dabbles in photography. His photos have been published several times in The Oberlin Review, including a Fall 2005 speacial feature about bodies of water on and around campus.
