Housing Loose Ends Coordinator

Pretty much always abbreviated down to HLEC (that's pronounced "eitch-leck"), the Housing Loose Ends Coordinator is the person (or persons) elected in each housing co-op who coordinates tying down loose ends regarding housing. Good name, huh?

[edit] Job function

Though HLECs are often explained as the co-op equivalent of an RA, their jobs differ in several ways. Most notably, they do not work for ResEd (the co-ops existing in a state of semi-autonomy from that office) and therefore do not have some of the responsibilities - such as enforcing rules - that RAs have. They do act as the point person for the co-op in dealings with both OSCA and the co-op RD, as well as (perhaps their primary function) leading/facilitating discussion among house members on any 'official house business'.

HLECs are a regular member of the co-op and a resident of the house and enjoy no special privileges, aside from skipping the OSCA lottery and just getting into whatever house they're HLECing for. Except they also get singles in houses that don't usually have them, like Harkness.
