Good Food Co-op
The Good Food Co-op is a store located in the basement of Harkness. It offers natural foods and personal care items.
The co-op is open to the general public, however members receive a twenty-percent discount. All OSCA members are automatically members of the Good Food Co-op, so just tell the person working there if they don't ask you and you'll get your discount. Membership for non-OSCA members costs $7.50 (or two hours of work in the co-op) per month, or $2.50 (or one hour of work) for senior citizens.

[edit] History
The GFC started in January 1971 as a Winter Term project. The original GFC opened above the Co-op Bookstore. It moved to Pyle Inn and finally settled into Harkness, which ran it as part of their co-op duties and where it has been ever since. In 1977, the GFC expanded from a small closet in the basement of Harkness to its current location. In 1987, the GFC began to hire work-study students and provide non-food items. To charge sales tax on these non-food items, a cash register was purchased for the first time. The Co-op's best sales year was 1998, when it reached nearly $26,000 in gross sales. Since then, there has been a decline in sales, and the GFC has often been subject to financial difficulties
