Ginko Gallery
Ginko Gallery was started in 1997 by local artists who wanted to share studio space. They still have studio space for 5 artists in the back and in the front they sell work by individual artists, mainly local and regional. Several OC students and grads show their work. The artists set their own prices so they vary widely: $1.50 for a sculpture by a 9 year old, $15 for a mug made at the pottery co-op, $1200 for a wall hanging by a nationally known weaver...
Last year they started selling art supplies. Origami and sumi supplies are great. If you're taking a studio art class you get a 20% discount. If you still can't afford what you need, they have been known to barter.
They tend to be very friendly. Bonus: You can play with the kittens in the back room that they foster for a local rescue group.
