I thought he was pretty damn rad. I haven't met anyone who doesn't think the same. He doesn't require you to attend lectures in his American History to 1877 class, which led to me skipping more than I should have because they were always worth it. Insisted on using primary materials and various generations of analytical essays, meaning it was as much a class on the historical method as it was on American History. I think he's kinda shy.
