Failure to launch
A "failure to launch" (or FTL) is an Oberlin alum who remains around Oberlin even after graduating.
While sometimes used derogatorily, it's kind of neat to see students stick around and contribute to the various communities here (e.g. Sustainable Community Associates).
Contrast with LOGJAM (which is definitely used derogatorily).
