Conservatory of Music Library
Usually just called the Con Library (or just "the library" by some connies).
The main entrance to the Conservatory Library lies in the heart of the Conservatory itself; just look for the signs that say "Conservatory Library".
It's a fun place to hang out and talk to people (not too loudly), and listen to recordings or watch videos.
You cannot have food in the con library, but you can leave beverages and such on the portion of the circulation counter that you can reach without walking through the electronic gate (i.e. the part of the circ counter nearest the doors). Don't leave stuff there for too long though, as this isn't really an official spot.
[edit] Resources
You can also get books and magazines about music there - and scores of all descriptions, from classical cello sonatas to classic rock. LPs (vinyl, records) and concert recordings need to be requested and it may take a day or two for the student assistants to get around to filling your request.
If you need to, it can be a hassle to copy oversized scores - the photocopiers available are only regular-sized. However, you can check the scores out and try to carry them back to your room, and you won't have to return them until the end of the semester!
[edit] Working there
The con library is a really good place for workstudy students to work. If you start as a freshman or sophomore, you can be making in the neighborhood of $8/hr by your junior year if you manage to get into the more senior positions in circulation or stacks. Circulation students are tied to specific hours that they pick, but they frequently get to spend lots of time doing homework, checking email, or talking to their friends. Stacks students can reschedule their hours on a whim as long as the work gets done eventually, and the stacks supervisor, Faith, is everyone's best friend.
