Classics

Academic department in the Humanities division, generally well regarded for strength of classes and accessible but challenging intro-level experiences. The more 'hardcore' students often form/join a program hall, the Classics Hall (most recently in South). There is also significant overlap between dedicated Classics majors and members of the fencing team.

Professor Tom Van Nortwick has a bit of a cult-of-personality built around him, but reportedly well deserved from an instruction standpoint.
